Tangerino is an events company, specialising in performance and visual arts. It was set up by Lil and Kitty Rice early 2013 whilst Kitty was studying Illustartion at London College of Communications and Lil was a student at The National Centre for Circus Arts. They wanted to find a way of mixing a love of music, art, theatre and Circus and so in June 2013 they put on our their first show.

The first two shows were based on Hans Christian Anderson’s story of The Ugly Duckling. The first performance took place in a victorian furniture warehouse in Brixton and the second under a railway arch in Loughborough junction. The third show was a variation on another Andersen fairy tale The Red Shoes. we made this into a part-promenade circus show that we ran for three nights at The Vaults.

We are available to hire for parties, private shows and events.

All the artists in their previous shows have been undergraduates or recent graduates in the arts and emerging artists, most recently the amazing Marika Hackman who wrote an original for our latest show The Red Shoes.

Our latest video of The Red Shoes was made my Mad Adam Films.

Kitty and Lil work closely with the artists to create several short ‘acts’.  A circus artist or dancer works with a band or musician writing original songs or learning covers to form a forty minute show. While Lil focuses on directing and choreographing the show, Kitty builds the set and organises the aesthetic of the show.
